Industry Experts to Address Agricultural Forums

Profitability, pest management, biosecurity and grazing best management practices are just some of the issues to be targeted at Agricultural Forums being held at Moura, Taroom and Injune in February.

Hosted by Fitzroy Basin Association Inc (FBA) and Dawson Catchment Coordinating Association (DCCA), the free multiple topic forums will feature guest speakers from across Central Queensland.

The first forum will be held at Moura on February 21, with Moura Vet Clinic's Andrew Morley discussing local issues. Other topics will include improving the profitability and performance of your agribusiness; Grazing BMP; meat sales, pricing and the future; pest animal baiting; stopping the spread of Tilapa; and pest management.

Taroom Vet will co-host an Agricultural Forum on February 22 in Taroom, and will discuss breeding F1 Wagyu; new techniques in horse wound management; profitable beef production; bull testing and cow management; AI programs; and Harrisia Cactus.

The final forum, to be held at Injune on February 23, will see Roma Vet's Tim McClymont discuss production management, while other topics on the agenda include Grazing BMP; meat sales, pricing and the future; pest animal baiting; stopping the spread of Tilapa; and pest management.
