Pest Management in Wetlands

September 2015

Projects funded under the Queensland Regional Natural Resource Management Investment Program are targeting the region's wetlands.

DCCA is meeting with landholders in the Palmtree Creek and Robinson Creek wetlands who may be interested in participating in priority wetlands projects.

The projects will include seasonal spelling, pest plant and animal control measures, riparian fencing and revegetation of riparian species.

"Robinson and Palm Tree Creek wetlands are landscape corridors connecting the Dawson River with the surrounding conservation area, including Expedition National Park," FBA Chief Executive Officer Paul Birch said.

Any landholders interested in participating are asked to contact DCCA Technical/Field Officer Andrea Beard on 0427 274455 or email andrea.beard@dcca.net.au.
